Quick and Healthy Chicken Recipes and Tips

Quick Chicken Recipes

Make healthy, delicious chicken dinners in minutes with these quick recipe ideas

Easy meals begin with one of America’s most popular proteins—chicken. People love chicken for its taste, healthfulness and low fat content, as well as how easy and versatile it is to cook with. Chicken is a good source of selenium, which helps support a healthy immune system. Grill, bake, broil or sauté chicken breasts, legs or thighs in 30 minutes or less with these quick and easy chicken recipes.

Poaching and Chicken Tenders Tips

Quick & Easy Poaching
Place boneless, skinless chicken breasts in a medium skillet or saucepan and add lightly salted water to cover; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat to low and simmer gently until chicken is cooked through and no longer pink in the middle, 10 to 12 minutes.

Do chickens really have tenders?
Chicken tenders are the virtually fat-free strips of rib meat typically found attached to the underside of chicken breasts. They can also be purchased separately. Four 1-ounce tenders will yield a 3-ounce cooked portion. Tenders are perfect for quick stir-fries, chicken satay or kid-friendly breaded “chicken fingers.”
