Healthy Grilling Recipes, Menus and Tips

Healthy Grilling Recipes

Great grilling recipes for everyday and easy entertaining.

Warm weather (and even cold weather, for some hardy souls) inspires us to cook on the grill. Grilling adds a unique, smoky flavor to foods, and it’s a super-quick cooking method. The grill’s flames can develop rich, complex flavors in standard fare like burgers and chicken and in untraditional dishes, such as pizza and desserts.

Rubs and marinades are a simple, healthy way to ensure flavorful, juicy results without adding a lot of fat or calories. Find several rub and marinade recipes below as well as healthy grilling recipes for any season.

Grilling Tips

  • Oiling the grill rack helps prevent your foods from sticking to the grill. Oil a folded paper towel, hold it with tongs and rub it over the rack. (Do not use cooking spray on a hot grill.) When grilling delicate foods like tofu and fish, it is helpful to lightly coat the food with cooking spray.
  • Want to make those “fancy” grill marks like the ones restaurant cooks make? It’s really quite simple. Just rotate what you’re grilling 90 degrees halfway through grilling on both sides to make a cross-hatch pattern.
