This rich, healthy chocolate shake recipe is dairy-free and gets its creaminess from avocado instead of ice cream. If you aren’t avoiding dairy, you can use regular low-fat milk and any type of semisweet or bittersweet chocolate chips in place of the nondairy chocolate chips.

I used the dairy substitutes (skim milk, regular semi-sweet chocolate chips) and it turned out good! Each serving is large and filling, and it has a nice rich taste without adding too much chocolate. We will definitely make these again!

Good flavor, easy to make, thick smooth texture

Very tasty. I used agave nectar to sweeten it and omitted the chocolate chips. It still had plenty of chocolate flavor. Will try
using stevia.

Fat Grams Wrong?

I was thinking about making this for an after school snack, until I saw each serving has 23 g of fat. How could this be? An avocado has 22 g of fat on average, and the other ingredients have very little fat. A total of 2 or 3 grams. This makes 2 servings...so now that I know it is really only 12 g of fat per serving, I may make it.
