Chicken noodle soup is undeniably comfort food for many people (especially when they're not feeling well) and this version gets a healthful update. Whole-wheat egg noodles add fiber and nutrients and reduced-sodium chicken broth cuts the sodium. By all means use homemade chicken broth if you have it.

This recipe is great, so basic and easy. It is just a base to so much more. I add more garlic, pepper, took out the dill and added tyme and bay leaves for a more woodsie taste. I also cooked the broth and veggies for a few hours then added the noodles just before serving.

This soup is delicious. Old-fashioned chicken noodle -- but with a tang and twist. The lemon, ginger, garlic and dill really make it special so heap it on!

Not a big fan of this one. I found this quite bland. Looks pretty, but tastes like water. Definitely need to use homemade stock here instead of canned.

This is an excellent soup for colds: chock full of ginger, garlic and chicken. I will definitely add this one to my permanent collection.

Haven't tried this soup, but I use the eggless noodles (No Yolks) w/o so much cholesterol.

Very mild and pleasant tasting with the ginger, lemon and dill combination. I used only 1 tbsp of the ginger and only one clove of garlic, plus used homemade chicken broth.

This soup is very good, but without the salt of other soups you really need to squish up the garlic and ginger and add the full amount of dill if it is going to have flavor.

Also I added more than the 4oz recommended of noodles and that did not help things any. I would stick with the 4oz.

It was solidly good, but I did add some additional salt for flavor which alters the recipe in an unhealthy fashion and I think is kind of against the whole idea.
