So easy and delicious! Adults and kids both loved them. We topped our French toast with the bananas as syrup. I made it with orange juice, but next time I will definitely use rum.

The bananas have to get in and out of the pan in 1 1/2 minutes, no longer, so they stay firm in the center. If you are cooking for 4, you can easily double the recipe; it is important not to crowd the skillet, so get everything ready to go and make it in 2 batches.

I nixed the ice cream, added pancakes, and used the caramelized bananas as a pancake topping instead! What a treat! So delicious! Also, I added vanilla and cinnamon to the pancake batter so the two complimented one another. FANTASTIC!!!
Served with steel cut oatmeal for breakfast. Very yummy!
I typically think of carmelized bananas as an expensive restaurant dessert, so I was super excited that these were so easy and had the yummiest flavor. Definitely will make again and serve with some ice cream.
I have a problem with fruit, it makes me queesy...but this is fantastic. I can control the sweetness and I don't get nauseas.
