Great recipe! My husband gave it a 8 out of 10! I halfed the recipe and made a few MINOR modificatoins: added more hot sauce; double if you have Frank's, and add as much as you can handle from Tabassco. I added more veggies and used 1/2 red onion and 1/2 yellow, added thyme and dijon to the veggie/chicken mix. I did add a bit of Bolthouse Farms yogurt blue cheese dressing and a bit extra reduced fat blue cheese. Melted the cheese in the mixture as well like other reviewers suggested. Sprinkled combo of oyster crackers, ritz, and french fried onion rings. YUM!!!

Serve this dish during football season to a hungry crowd and it’s sure to be a hit. We don’t typically recommend ingredients by brand name, but in this case we make an exception for Frank’s RedHot Sauce. It has the perfect balance of spice and tang for this casserole. Texas Pete and Crystal hot sauces are suitable alternatives if you can’t find Frank’s.

I made this recipe as is with no major modifications and loved it. My husband, who is from Buffalo, loved it to. But he's not a big blue cheese fan so suggested that in the future I substitute mozzarella for some of the blue cheese. Apparently that is the chosen alternate to blue cheese in Buffalo. And Frank's hot sauce is definitely the way to go.
True, I don't know how healthy the stuff is, if you use natural, organic products it seems pretty ok. Not a lot of processed stuff in it, but low cal it is not! I had to be careful not to eat too much at one sitting, it was so good it was hard not to. I plan in making this for the next football party I go to, it's sure to be a hit!
I'm in college and my roommate and I loved this! It lasted us each about three days for dinner! We used fully cooked cubed chicken from tyson, poured in half of the hot-sauce bottle, added spicy ranch seasoning packet and used low fat blue cheese. We also used 16 oz farfalle noodle to accomodate for 1.5 lbs chicken. So good! Came to about 420 calories per 1/8!
I made recipe exactly as written except that I doubled the hot sauce. That was a great call! i would also reduce pasta as mentioned in other reviews and would reduce blue cheese amount or use a softer version like gorgonzola. I like blue cheese but it was overpowering in my finished product.
Just made this recipe for the first time and paid attention to all other comments to this point. I halved the noodles and added the blue cheese to the sauce so that it melted in rather than sprinkling it on the top. I also doubled the amount of hot sauce that the recipe called for to 8 total tablespoons. Instead of purchasing chicken breasts, I purchased a rotisserie chicken and used it instead. All in all, I do feel that this recipe is a great one, but only with the adjustments made. I also think that it needs more hot sauce, but that is just my opinion! :)
