healthy treat

this was great!! I swapped the brown sugar for a shake of brown sugar, drop of agave syrup and bit of ground nutmeg, ginger & onion powder. I also added a small piece of chopped fresh ginger when the peppers & garlic were added. ..added a Saracha and it still wasn't too spicy.

i cooked chicken in the a TBS of the peanut sauce 1st w/ a little olive oil, Saracha & soy sauce.

This is such an addicting dish!
I love to cook for my family. My mother's never been much of a chef, but I love it and cook dinner all the time. I made this a few years ago and am just researching it for my fitness log, but oh the memories of trying it the first time!
I almost always add onions and have added bean sprouts in the past. I stir it up with breaded tofu to make it a hearty vegetarian meal, and serve it over a small bed of hot jasmine rice. Very good, I go back for seconds every time! You can add pretty much anything you want to it! I also up the crushed red pepper flakes because I like the spice but if you're not a fan you can omit them altogether and it will turn out fine.
Keep in mind, I am a very picky eater, so if I like it so much, you probably will too! And so will your kids ;3
Once I'm off in University next year I'm sure my friends and family will have me make it every time I see them.

Rich, filling, healthy, versatile
One of my favourite meals!

This is a perfect recipe if you want something rich and filling! It's a perfect balance of sweet and spicy and is still good for lunch the next day. Tastes great with breaded tofu over saffron rice as well. Plus, the ingredients aren't hard to find. I often add onions and bean sprouts to it for added crunch and flavour, but that's your choice! I make this for my parents and younger sister all the time, pretty much as often as possible.

Easy, simple ingredients, quick
Exactly the guide I was looking for

I used TJ's almond butter but it was DELISH! I played around with the ingredients, consistency, etc. Added stir-fried Tofu and served it over brown rice. Perfect! Thank you!

Substitute/Adjust as you wish

I actually selected this sauce after reading reviews that it was too rich and at too high a ratio to the vegetables. That was exactly what I wanted to make. It turned out very tasty! I would recommend cooking the vegetables first and then stirring in the sauce once that pan is off the heat (or even when the veggies are on the plate, if you want to just top it with the sauce).

However, I wanted something mostly sweet and peanuty to go with my broccoli, and this fit that perfectly. I definitely will make it again!

Word of caution, though: it is a very rich sauce, so a little goes a long way and is very filling. But also delicious.
