A little low-fat dairy and some vitamin-rich fruit and you've just started your day right, nutritionally speaking.

"I use a lot this as an evening snack. I use less cottage cheese to stay under 150cals. It is a great tasty treat. "

great as a kid I loved it

I made it for breakfast but used pineapple and graham cracker crumbs and would recomend flavored yogurt for a nonsour taste

amazing with pineapple but instead use graham cracker crumbs and flavored yogurt
Love it.

If you're watching your sodium, use the yogurt instead of cottage cheese. Plain nonfat Greek yogurt has as much protein as cottage cheese, but very little sodium.

Also, use any fresh fruit. This is great with berries, sliced banana, peaches, nectarines, and even thawed no-sugar frozen fruits.

If you want a little crunch, instead of the wheat germ, use a crunchy cereal like Grape Nuts. Just a tablespoon is plenty.

Quick, versatile - use for breakfast, snack
Love this!

I feel like this is totally something I would make and recommend to clients.

Super simple
I'll definitely add this to todays menu ;)
Kids won't eat this

Not realistic for kids' breakfasts. Maybe yogurt instead of cottage cheese.

A kid might be more apt to

A kid might be more apt to eat this if he or she is the one to make it. Try using a parfait cup or some other cool dessert dish and set the ingredients out fot them to create their own. My kids didn't like corn or green beans when they were 3 and 4 years old. So, I had them help plant seeds in the garden and involved them in the growth of the veggies they planted. (it was theirs) when the veggies were ready to be harvested they helped pick them and cook them. For some reason they ate the food that they grew themselves and thought it was amazing... because they grew it.... like magic. That was a big learning experience for me :)

Simple and Tasty

I used pineapple instead of papaya and cinnamon since I was out of wheat germ and it was delicious.

Tasty, easy
