Bourbon Street Sundaes
Toasted pecans and bourbon flavor this New Orleans-inspired brown sugar sauce.
- 1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup nonfat milk
- 2 tablespoons chopped pecans
- 1 tablespoon bourbon
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 3 cups nonfat vanilla frozen yogurt
- Whisk together brown sugar and cornstarch in a medium saucepan. Gradually stir in milk; bring to a simmer, stirring, over medium-high heat. Cook, stirring, until thickened, about 1 minute.
- Remove from the heat and stir in pecans, bourbon and butter. Serve warm over frozen yogurt.
