This soup was very easy to make using the canned beans. I mixed it up a little and used black & Great Northern beans. I tasted it before adding extra ingredients and thought it was already very good but I went ahead and added some garlic and Mexican Oregano because I did not have quite enough salsa. (We put garlic in almost everything.) This was delicious! We have three boys with very different tastes but everyone had seconds of this one. Can't really think of any cons even if I tried. Thanks for sharing!

This is a zippy Southwestern-flavored black bean soup. We make it with canned beans so it comes together in minutes. If you have leftovers, pack them up in individual serving containers for lunch the next day.

This soup was so good and very easy to make -- The only I added was a small can of mexican corn mix -- it added some sweetness to it -- I loved it -- looking for something easy to warm up -- This is a very tasty filling soup --
My husband loves this soup. He likes it only half-pureed so that it is still chunky. This is very quick, satisfying, and you can probably make it with what you have in your pantry. No hard-to-find ingredients!!
This recipe passed my big test-- it got a thumbs up from my three picky eaters (4, 8 & 9 year olds!). Per previous reviewers, I substituted chicken broth for water and added another can of beans-- great easy tasty soup!
My husband and 9 year old twins love this soup. We eat it weekly. It is easy, rather quick and tasty.
