These were great. To save time I used my favorite fresh (not jarred) salsa from the supermarket instead of following the recipe to make my own. This cut my ingredient list in half and also was less expensive.

This recipe is delicious. i made it two days ago, followed the directions to a t, and didn't have a problem with moistness or shape retention. It could have had a bit more flavor, but over all it was amazing. I'm actually making it again tonight to share with a different friend, i think tonight i'm going to add some onion, jalapeno, and maybe lime juice tonight.
We made this and it was delicious! Heeded the other comments and used only one can of beans. Added lots of veggies- jalapenos, garlic, onions, tomatoes, and corn. One little tip-- we used Shake'n'Bake "Hot & Spicy" crumbs instead of regular breadcrumbs, and it was a very flavorful addition! Give this a try! :)

These have become a huge staple in our house. I increased the spices and added some chopped jalapeno. My son thinks they're better than anything he's had at a restaurant.
I have made something similar to this....I saute onion and garlic with a little bit of BBQ sauce (sweet baby 's my fave) then add corn and black beans, blend up a little then add toasted walnuts and bread crumbs. broil n eat
