The subtly sweet peanut sauce blends deliciously in this beef, cabbage and carrot sauté. Spice up the dish with a few dashes of your favorite hot sauce. Serve with udon noodles.

I added some shitake mushrooms. Everybody loved it and asked for it to be made again.

This was quite tasty. I did it with chicken. Added some fish sauce and used crunchy peanut butter. All 3 adults liked it. Two of us added some Sirachi sauce. I apparently did not read the reviews or they were posted after I snagged it. I'd add broccoli as some suggested. Also thought some onion would give it a bit more punch. Possibly browned ahead, but chopped and mixed with cabbage would also work.

None of the base ingredients are expensive, but the sauce doesn't do much for them.

I made this as the recipe called for except i used 1 tsp of sugar instead of 2, regular vinegar instead of rice and chunky Kraft peanut butter instead of smooth natural as thats all i had in the house. I did find it a little bland so I added soya sauce and some hot sauce on the plate and then my fiance and I both ate til we were so full it hurt! Its an excellent base recipe, just need to make some changes to suit you and your family. I think we'll make this again for sure and just add a little more soya and hot sauce to the sauce mixture and add some broccoli and pea pods to the veggies and half the cabbage.
