It took me 4 hours total to make this pie. It was good, but what's not good that includes beef, pork, onions, etc.
EatingWell Meat Pie
From EatingWell: September/October 2012
Traditionally meat pie recipes are made with mostly ground pork. This recipe for French-Canadian meat pie, or tourtiere, is lightened up by using lean ground beef with a little ground pork for flavor and bulked up with plenty of shredded vegetables. You can make it even easier by using a store-bought crust.

This meat pie tastes just like the ones my father-in-law used to make! I can't wait for the family to try it.
Looks great, easy to serve, versatile for main dish or "pot luck", leftovers good for light lunch
It was worth the work. I just made it to "try" the recipe. I will make it again for company, or to take somewhere for a contribution to a party.
