Roasted Red Cabbage with Caraway Butter

“Roasting brings out the sweetness of cabbage in this healthy side dish recipe that tastes super-luxurious thanks to the melted butter on top.”


    • ½ medium head red cabbage, cut into 6 wedges
    • ½ teaspoon salt
    • ¼ teaspoon ground pepper
    • 2½ tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
    • ½ teaspoon grated lemon zest
    • ¼ teaspoon toasted caraway seeds


  • 1 Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with foil and coat with cooking spray.
  • 2 Place cabbage in a single layer on the prepared pan. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Roast, turning once, until tender and browned on both sides, 35 to 40 minutes.
  • 3 Meanwhile, combine butter, lemon zest and caraway seeds in a small bowl. Serve the cabbage topped with the butter.
