  • Add popcorn kernels to a brown paper bag and fold the bag over three times. Microwave until popping stops, 1 1/2 to 2 minutes.

  • Place chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on Medium in 30-second increments until softened, 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, stirring several times to make sure the chips don't burn.

  • Add oil to the chocolate, stirring continuously until the mixture is smooth. Transfer to a medium bowl. Add the popcorn and sparkling sugar (or sprinkles) and toss until evenly coated.
