“The quick-and-easy lemon and soy marinade on this flank steak is so flavorful! The steak takes about 20 minutes to grill and may just become your new favorite summer grilling recipe.”

    • 1- to 1¼-pound beef flank steak
    • 2 green onions, sliced
    • ¼ cup water
    • ¼ cup dry red wine
    • ¼ cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
    • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
    • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • ½ teaspoon celery seeds
    • ½ teaspoon black pepper
    • ⅛ teaspoon salt

  • 1 Score both sides of steak in a diamond pattern by making shallow diagonal cuts at 1-inch intervals. Place steak in a resealable plastic bag set in a shallow dish. For marinade, in a small bowl, combine green onions, the water, wine, soy sauce, lemon juice, oil, garlic, celery seeds, pepper and salt. Pour over meat. Seal bag; turn to coat meat. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours or up to 24 hours, turning bag occasionally.
  • 2 Drain steak discarding marinade. Place steak on the rack of an uncovered grill directly over medium coals. Grill for 17 to 21 minutes or until medium doneness (160°F), turning once halfway through grilling time. Thinly slice steak diagonally across the grain.
