Start your morning off right with this hot bowl of oatmeal, flavored with cocoa powder and fresh raspberries.

  • 1½ cups regular rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 cup fresh red raspberries
  • 4 teaspoons sugar-free chocolate-flavor syrup (optional)

  1. In a medium saucepan stir together oats, cocoa powder and salt. Stir in almond milk. Bring to boiling over medium heat, stirring occasionally; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, 5 to 7 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally. Cover. Remove from heat; let stand 2 minutes.
  2. Divide oatmeal mixture among four serving bowls. Top each serving with ¼ cup of the raspberries. If desired, drizzle each serving with 1 teaspoon of the chocolate syrup.
