Garlic Herb Rub

“Use this homemade Garlic Herb Rub for your next BBQ and be sure to wow your guests! You can also make it ahead of time and store it for later.”

Ingredients

    • 1 tablespoon dried basil, crushed
    • 1 tablespoon dried thyme, crushed
    • 1 tablespoon dried marjoram, crushed
    • 1 tablespoon finely shredded lemon peel or dried lemon peel
    • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
    • 2 teaspoons dried sage, crushed
    • 2 teaspoons fennel seeds, crushed
    • 1 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

  • 1 In a small bowl, combine all ingredients. Rub about 1 tablespoon of the herb mixture on 1 pound of meat (see Tip) and cook as desired.
  • Tip: Suggested Meats: Fish, chicken breast, lean pork, lean lamb, or lean beef
  • Storage: If using fresh lemon peel, store rub in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 1 month. If using dried lemon peel, store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 6 months.
