Herbes de Provence

“Herbes de Provence is a spice blend from the Provence region of southeast France. Making it yourself at home is so simple and allows you to control the ingredients. Keep a jar of it on hand to quickly season vegetable sides, chicken and more.”


    • 2 tablespoons dried summer savory (see Tip)
    • 1 tablespoon dried basil
    • 1 tablespoon dried marjoram
    • 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
    • 1 tablespoon dried tarragon
    • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
    • 1½ teaspoons dried lavender buds (see Tip)


  • 1 Combine savory, basil, marjoram, rosemary, tarragon, thyme and lavender in a medium bowl. Place in a small jar and store in a dark, dry location for up to 6 months.
  • Tip: If your grocery store doesn't carry dried summer savory or dried lavender buds, check specialty-foods stores or order online.
