Chopped Cajun Ahi Tuna Salad

“Fresh tuna tops a colorful romaine salad with tomatoes, green peppers and ranch dressing seasoned with Cajun spices.”


    • 8 ounces fresh or frozen ahi tuna steaks, thawed
    • 1 tablespoon salt-free Cajun seasoning, such as Frontier® brand
    • Nonstick cooking spray
    • ¼ cup light ranch salad dressing, such as Hidden Valley® brand
    • 3 cups bite-size pieces romaine lettuce
    • ¼ cup quartered cherry tomatoes
    • ¼ cup chopped celery
    • ¼ cup chopped green sweet pepper
    • ¼ cup sliced green onions


  • 1 Rinse tuna; pat dry. Sprinkle with 2 teaspoons of the Cajun seasoning; rub in with your fingers.
  • 2 Coat a medium nonstick skillet with cooking spray; heat skillet over medium-high heat. Add tuna; cook 4 minutes or until desired doneness, turning once.
  • 3 In a medium bowl combine ranch dressing and the remaining 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning. Add lettuce; stir to coat.
  • 4 To serve, break tuna into bite-size pieces. Divide lettuce mixture between two plates; top with tuna and vegetables.
