This variation on the classic Bamboo cocktail starts with two types of fortified wine—sherry and vermouth—then adds a slug of Campari for bright color and bitter edge. Opt for an aged dry sherry, like fino or manzanilla, for the best flavor in this drink recipe.

  • 1½ ounces dry sherry
  • 1½ ounces dry vermouth
  • ½ ounce Campari
  • Ice
  • 1 strip orange peel

  1. Combine sherry, vermouth and Campari in a cocktail shaker. Add a few ice cubes. Stir until chilled, then strain into a coupe glass. Twist orange peel over the drink to squeeze out the essential oils, then garnish with it.
