Easy Blackberry Sauce

“Fresh blackberries, called for in this recipe, are gems. Use frozen berries if fresh are not in season.”


    • 1 cup fresh or frozen blackberries or raspberries
    • 2 tablespoons cranberry juice, apple juice, or water
    • 1 tablespoon sugar
    • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce


  • 1 In a small saucepan, combine berries, juice, sugar, and Worcestershire. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, about 8 minutes or until desired consistency, stirring often and mashing berries slightly with a fork. Serve warm or cool.
