“The lively mix of smoky turkey, light cream cheese and crisp-cooked asparagus in this easy fix-up is sensational.”
Ingredients
2 teaspoons tub-style light cream cheese
2 thin slices smoked turkey breast (1 ounce total) (see Tips)
Ground black pepper
crisp-cooked and chilled asparagus spears (see Tips)
Directions
1Divide cream cheese between turkey breast slices, spreading evenly. Sprinkle lightly with pepper.
2Top each turkey slice with an asparagus spear. Roll up.
Tips: Choose a sliced turkey product that is lower in sodium, such as Hormel(R) or Healthy Choice(R).
To cook the asparagus, snap off and discard the woody base of each asparagus spear. In a covered medium saucepan, cook asparagus spears in a small amount of boiling water for 3 to 5 minutes or just until crisp-tender. Drain and rinse in cold water to cool quickly. Drain well.
