  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cut baguette crosswise into four portions. Split each portion in half horizontally. Scoop out the soft centers of tops and bottoms of baguette portions, leaving about a 1/2-inch shell. (Save soft bread centers for another use.)

  • Spread preserves on cut sides of bottom halves of baguette portions. Top with ham, pear slices, and arugula. In a small bowl, stir together goat cheese and chives; spread on cut sides of the top halves of the baguette portions. Place over arugula, cheese sides down. Lightly coat tops and bottoms of sandwiches with nonstick spray.

  • Place sandwiches in a shallow baking pan. Cover with foil. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until heated through. Serve warm.
