Fruit with White Wine

“A stone fruit has a pit or seed in the center. This medley showcases four luscious stone fruits—plums, nectarines, peaches and mango.”


    • ¾ cup dry white wine
    • 2 tablespoons sugar or sugar substitute equivalent to 2 tablespoons sugar
    • 1 tablespoon snipped fresh mint
    • 3 medium plums, coarsely chopped
    • 2 medium nectarines, coarsely chopped
    • 2 medium peaches, coarsely chopped
    • 1 medium mango, coarsely chopped
    • Fresh mint sprigs (optional)


  • 1 In a small saucepan, combine wine and sugar; heat to boiling, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Boil gently, uncovered, for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the 1 tablespoon snipped mint. Cool completely. Strain mixture through a fine-mesh strainer. Discard snipped mint.
  • 2 In a large bowl, combine plums, nectarines, peaches and mango. Add wine mixture. Toss to coat. Cover and chill for 1 to 8 hours. If desired, garnish each serving with a mint sprig.
