BBQ Chicken Flatbread

“Barbecue-flavored chicken with peppers is baked on a premade pizza crust and topped with cheese for a quick and easy meal with lots of flavor.”

Ingredients

    • 1 (12 inch) packaged thin whole wheat pizza crust, such as Boboli®
    • Nonstick cooking spray
    • 1 pound uncooked ground chicken breast
    • ½ cup frozen chopped green sweet pepper and onion, such as Birds Eye® brand
    • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
    • ¼ cup reduced-sugar orange marmalade, such as Smuckers® brand
    • ¾ cup shredded Monterey jack cheese (3 ounces)
    • ⅓ cup bottled barbecue sauce
    • 1 green onion, thinly sliced

Directions

  • 1 Preheat oven to 375°F. Place pizza crust on an ungreased baking sheet; set aside. Coat a 10-inch skillet with cooking spray; heat over medium-high heat. Add chicken, frozen sweet pepper and onion, and paprika. Cook and stir until chicken is no longer pink. Remove from heat. Stir in orange marmalade.
  • 2 Spoon chicken mixture over bread shell. Top with cheese. Bake for 10 minutes or until heated through. Drizzle with barbecue sauce and sprinkle with green onion. Cut into 12 wedges to serve.
