This easy-to-make shrimp sauce is the only recipe you need for a shrimp cocktail appetizer that will be devoured every time. Our tried-and-true sauce is the perfect balance of sweet and tangy.

  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon hot sauce, or to taste
  • 1 pound peeled cooked shrimp (21-25 count)

  1. Stir ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire and hot sauce in a small bowl. Refrigerate until ready to use. Serve with shrimp.
  • To make ahead: Refrigerate the sauce for up to 1 week.

says to serve with the shrimps but doesn't say how to get the shrimps into the sauce. heres an idea; put all the ingredients in a food processor and let it blend over night. next day you have shrimp sauce ready to eat. should have taken the shells off the shrimps first because they cut my mouth a bit. might not be 'classic' but saves precious time
