Turn an applesauce cup into a healthier candied apple with this easy snack idea. Just top the cup with half an apple and a drizzle of peanut butter for a cute snack kids will love.

  • 2 tablespoons natural peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 medium apple, cored and cut in half crosswise
  • 2 4-ounce cups unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 wooden popsicle sticks
  • 1 teaspoon mini chocolate chips or shredded coconut

  1. Stir peanut butter and honey together in a small bowl.
  2. Place an apple half, cut-side down, on top of each applesauce cup.
  3. Spoon half the peanut butter mixture over the top of each apple. Spread decoratively with a knife. Insert a popsicle stick into the top of each apple and sprinkle with chocolate chips (or coconut).
