16 ounces light, cooked smoked Polish sausage or smoked turkey sausage, cut into 1-inch slices
⅓ cup low-sugar apricot preserves
3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
1 tablespoon bourbon or water
1 teaspoon quick-cooking tapioca, crushed
In a 1- ½-quart slow cooker combine sausage slices, apricot preserves, maple syrup, bourbon, and tapioca. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 4 hours. If no heat setting is available, cook for 4 hours.
Serve immediately or keep warm in the slow cooker for up to 1 hour. Serve with wooden toothpicks.
Tip: For easy cleanup, line your slow cooker with a disposable slow cooker liner. Add ingredients as directed in recipe. Once your dish is finished cooking, spoon the food out of your slow cooker and simply dispose of the liner. Do not lift or transport the disposable liner with food inside.
