3 tablespoons coarsely chopped peeled fresh turmeric (see Tip) or 1 teaspoon ground
4 teaspoons honey
1 teaspoon extra-virgin coconut oil
Combine watermelon, water, lemon juice, ginger, turmeric, honey, oil and pepper in a blender. Puree until smooth, about 1 minute.
Look for fresh turmeric in natural-foods stores, near its similar-looking relative, fresh ginger. Remove the skin with a vegetable peeler. You can swap 1 Tbsp. finely grated fresh for 1 tsp. dried and vice versa.
