  • 3½ cups fresh or frozen blackberries, (one 16-ounce package)
  • ¼ cup sugar, or
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  1. Bring blackberries, sugar (or Splenda) and water to a simmer in a medium saucepan, stirring occasionally. Simmer over low heat for 5 minutes. Strain through a fine sieve into a bowl. Stir in lemon juice. Cover and refrigerate until chilled.

Delish! This was very easy to make and tasted delicious. I did not strain it as I prefer the fruit in the sauce.
