Delicious recipe! I agree regarding the amount of sauce that was produced...it would have been slightly better with more. Added Garlic and Basil to ingredients with a little extra half & Half-(yummy Half and half) and left out Tarragon (didn't have any).
Loved this recipe! The only changes I made were adding a tablespoon of butter just prior to cooking the mushrooms and shallots a sprinkle of flour and a splash of chicken stock. I used chives and parsley for the herbs. The gravy was excellent but next time I may just stop after cooking the mushrooms and shallots and sprinkle a few herbs on top.
Fresh simple real ingredients! I'm so happy I found this recipe! I used baby portabella mushrooms and pinot grigio fresh parsley oregano rosemary chives sage hyssop (don't actually know what that one is but who cares!) basil. The fresh herbs MADE the sauce! The wine cooked down to just the right sweetness and the mushrooms absorbed the flavors wonderfully. The pork chops cooked perfectly. It was a slam dunk for me! Check this one off as a keeper and a 'hit' among too many cooking 'misses' recently. Pros: one pan healthy flavorful easy
Easy I didn't have fresh herbs so I skipped them and it was perfect. Also I added a couple of tablespoons of butter to the sauce and returned the pork chops to the sauce at the end. The butter may not have been needed but it was delicious. Might add garlic next time but probably won't. It was fine without it. Pros: Easy to make one pot
Fast easy and no fuss This turned out so flavorful despite the little effort and few ingredients needed. My husband loves his sauces though so there wasn't enough for him. I'll double the sauce for him next time. The herbs i used were parsley sage cilantro and watercress. I could have used more easily but I love my greens! Pros: fewer dishes fast easy
Great Meal This is a great recipe my family love this meal even my 3 year old son. I didn't have any shallots so I used green onions and add some fresh garlic for little extra taste and it was awesome. I love this recipe and I will cook again. Pros: Quick and Super Easy
so yummy! My husband is not a big mushroom fan but he said he liked this...a lot! Great taste! Pork chops were very tender. Leftovers were just as tasty! Pros: My husband and I both enjoyed this dish! We will definitely create it again.
Herbs overpower mushrooms I wasn't a big fan of how this sauce turned out. I used a combination of tarragon and parsley for the 1/2 cup of fresh herbs and they overpowered the flavor of everything else. I think a 1/4 cup of herbs would have been enough. I did love how fast and easy it was to cook the pork chops and then the sauce using the same skillet. Less dishes! Pros: quick to make one pan Cons: bad sauce flavor
