Needs longer cooking time than stated!
Made this overnight following the directions almost exactly (didn't really measure the marjoram or ginger--just eyeballed those). I put it in the slow cooker overnight on low for 8 hours + 2 hours on warm and when I checked it this morning, it wasn't at all the consistency of split pea soup. The peas still have crunch to them, so maybe it's just my slow cooker (cuisinart), but I'll be putting this back on high when I get home from work to hopefully break down the peas some more so it's actually a hearty, creamy soup. The flavor right now is fantastic though!
Pros: Easy, healthy, tons of fiber
