Not totally what I expected but DELICIOUS!
I'm not much of a baker, but these were pretty easy and delicious. I had wanted to use our new cookie press, but the dough was much too dry and crumbly. If you squished it together with your hands, you could make the balls as indicated. I squished them down a bit as others did. I was surprised they were so chewy since the dough was so dry. Mine didn't look at all like the picture- they were really light. Even the second batch, which I left in the oven longer (which still didn't get very crispy on the outside and were still almost white). I don't mind since I love soft/chewy cookies. I am wondering if anyone has tried this with whole wheat dough? I'd like to do that next time. Also, I am thinking that if I could get it all into a ball and roll it out into a thick slab maybe we could use cookie cutters since the press was impossible. I bake with (and for) my toddler girls. :)
Pros: lower fat, really tasty, soft, chewy
Cons: crumbly, dry dough
