Nice Light Summer Salad I made a few minor replacements in these recipe. Used Greek yogurt in place of sour cream pecans instead of walnuts and apple cider vinegar (instead of say raspberry vinegar or similar). Didn't find the dressing too tart at all. In fact with the added sugar it's too sweet so I would say the poppy seeds and a good-tasting vinegar are enough. Overall I liked the flavor combo of the sweet dressing melons nuts and feta. The chicken is a bit of an after-thought though it adds protein and makes the salad more filling. Good for summer. Pros: Quick and easy to prepare Good flavor Cons: Too sweet
Going into my permanent repertoire Tip: skip the sugar entirely! It's still super delicious without it! My husband asked me to make him this salad again a few days later and I happily obliged. A great way to start off the 28-day plan and a great recipe all-around. Will be bringing it to potlucks. Yes it's that good. Pros: scrumptious dressing
WAY too vinegary!! I really liked this salad but the dressing was super tart due to all the vinegar. I actually made it a second time and cut the vinegar in half--so much better! Pros: Light fresh Cons: Way too much vinegar
Delicious satisfying lunch Really really enjoyed the combination of everything in this salad and that dressing adds a special touch. It is super satisfying as lunch due to all the little extras Pros: delicious packed with flavour Cons: none
Great summer meal! We eat this kind of meal often during the summer in AZ. This recipe is easy to modify by using leftover grilled chicken tofu or salmon. I just make more on the weekend and use it (or freeze it) for an easy weekday meal. I also vary the fruit- this is especially good with berries. Pros: Delicious easy flexible recipe Cons: None
SUGAR in this recipe!!!! I am SO disappointed to read that you need sugar in this recipe. You may as well use mayo b/c sugar is AWFUL for you AND not diabetes appropriate. So disapointed Pros: No Mayo Cons: SUGAR?????????????????????
This is amazing! I love to eat chicken. I've been trying all recipes that involves chicken and I can say this is one of those that I want almost everyday. You may also try my homemade chicken broth recipes at http://chickenbrothrecipes.com/
I loved the flavors! Only problem was that the recipe doesn't tell you how much sugar to add. I missed it in the dressing until after I'd tossed in the salad. In a pinch I added some liquid Stevia to sweeten it. Helped but I hope the recipe gets corrected so the right sugar measurement is there.
A light and refreshing summertime meal. Swapped the melon for apple and used apple-cider vinegar and it was great. We enjoyed the dressing so much I made another batch for a salad later in the week. A keeper recipe.
