Delightfully Refreshing & Light I found this recipe over 4 years ago & its definitely in my top 3 favorite sandwiches. It has a perfect balance of flavors with the zing of the orange & the tang of the cream cheese which the honey really brightens & brings together;--Paired with the sweet strawberries & the earthy taste of the whole wheat bread it's a match made in heaven. You can taste each ingredient separately harmoniously united together in every bite. It's perfect for breakfast summer lunch or for those uncontrollable munchie attacks. Pros: light simple mood lifting guilt free sweet tangy refreshing Cons: none
Not the way its supposed to be made This is a great recipe. Only use regular cream cheese instead of low fat and serve lightly toasted open face. I don't see how this would be good as a sandwich. But on a bagel or toast for breakfast would work very well.
A different sandwich treat! I made this sandwich using a low carb whole wheat tortilla for a quck wrap sandwich. I added some slices of ham rolled up as a side dish to give better protein values to the meal. Pros: easy few ingredients Cons: need to add more protein to this for a meal
Wasn't sure about this but I loved it. I used a bagel (french toast flavored) instead which may have taken some of the nutritional value (worth it). Another tip... While I was making this my husband got creative. He scooped out the inside of one of the larger strawberries mixed the insides with the honey and cream cheese and put this back in the strawberry. It was amazing.
