Spanish Flair Followed the recipe exactly, but added one extra ingredient...spanish chorizo. The soup came out amazing! I think without the chorizo, it might have been a little bland. I think this soup would benefit from some extra simmer-time to allow the flavors to meld together. I can understand why it would be even better the next day. Pros: Fast, Healthy, Great for a chilly fall evening Cons: Can be a little bland

The whole family liked it This was good and we'll definitely be adding it to our family recipes. The only changes I made was to add an extra can of white beans and reduced the amt of pork by 1/3. I accidentally left it on low heat and it simmered for hours after we first ate it, when I ate another bowl after it had simmered all afternoon it was incredible! It is delicious with the manchego cheese but doesn't need it at all. Enjoy Pros: kale is a superfood

NOT a great let's have again meal the soup was just ok. I plan to add vinegar just before serving to the leftover soup. I wanted a way to have kale that we would enjoy. This isn't it. Pros: healthy

good base recipe, needed help to make it great i followed the ingredient list and instructions, and got a lackluster soup with chewy pork. so we ended up having somethin else for dinner, and the next day i put it in the crock on low all day with some minced jalapenos, diced zuke, mushrooms, red bell pep, baby yukons, fresh thyme, lemon juice, cumin, and a dash of apple cider vin. turned out amazing. AMAZING!! i was glad for the idea tho, i've often been a little pork shy, and this finished product may have started a little love affair... Pros: easy, yummy healthy ingredients Cons: kinda bland as written

The flavors didn't quite do it for me. Everything smelled really good until I dumped in the chicken broth. The end result wasn't horrible, but I thought it was kind of bland.

Okay I made this for the first time the other day and followed the directions to a T. I was disappointed; I think my expectations were a little high. Don't expect more out of this recipe than what's in it. I will warn you that the crushed red pepper amount given is pretty strong. Personally, I love pork but not in a watered down chicken-broth soup. I say, save the pork for on the side and make a vegetable soup!

Disappointing When I went to make this soup I was extremely excited. After making it however, I was disappointed. It really should be directed as a veggie soup as that's the overwhelming flavor. It needed more meat, less kale, more seasoning and more overall flavor. Pros: Lots of veggie flavor Cons: not meaty enough, verrrry strong tomato flavor

One of my favs!!! This is absolutely one of my favorite recipes! Sometimes I use leftover pork, canned tomatoes, or spinach instead of kale depending on what I have in stock already and the outcome is always delicious. Thank you Eating Well! Pros: So tasty and good for you Cons: pork tenderloin can be expensive

Easy, flavorful & absolutely delicious! I used leftover, already roasted pork tenderloin & spinach instead of Kale. I added the pork with the beans about 15 mins. before serving & was amazed at how tender the pork had become. My entire family LOVED it! I will definitely make this again. Pros: Little effort, big reward Cons: none
