Try this summertime spread on crackers with cream cheese or as a dipping sauce for grilled chicken.

  • 4 plums, (about 1 pound), pitted and chopped
  • 3 tablespoons red-wine vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • Pinch of crushed red pepper, or to taste

  1. Combine plums, vinegar, honey and crushed red pepper in a medium saucepan. Bring to a simmer over high heat. Cover, reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the plums start to break down, 5 to 10 minutes. Transfer to a blender or food processor and pulse several times into a coarse puree.
  • Make Ahead Tip: Cover and refrigerate for up to 1 week.

So Yummy, so easy! I made this today and doubled the batch since I had more plums. It is amazing and so very easy to make. I really love the flavor the red wine vinegar gives it, although I had my doubts in the beginning. It is a perfect pair with the cream cheese and crackers. Pros: Quick, easy, very good flavor Cons: None
