great as a kid I loved it I made it for breakfast but used pineapple and graham cracker crumbs and would recomend flavored yogurt for a nonsour taste Pros: amazing with pineapple but instead use graham cracker crumbs and flavored yogurt
Love it. If you're watching your sodium use the yogurt instead of cottage cheese. Plain nonfat Greek yogurt has as much protein as cottage cheese but very little sodium. Also use any fresh fruit. This is great with berries sliced banana peaches nectarines and even thawed no-sugar frozen fruits. If you want a little crunch instead of the wheat germ use a crunchy cereal like Grape Nuts. Just a tablespoon is plenty. Pros: Quick versatile - use for breakfast snack
It's no problem you can mix dairy and citrus if you it eat right after preparation. I've done that many times. If you let it sit for some time after mixing the two together the citrus will turn the dairy sour/bitter.
