Better than I thought Besides being skeptical about how this would taste with silken tofu or the fact that the color of this didn't look quite appetizing I must say was far better than I imagined. I used what I had on hand no frozen berries so I just used blueberries; No plain orange juice so used orange mano and peach juice; and added more ice. Tasted great and the longer it set the creamy and frothier it was. Actually enjoyed this. Thanks
They sound great but I prefer to have low fat soymilk and alternate different kinds of fruit. And in the evening I'll blend some grape melons ginger and maybe add some pears and pineapples with a little very berry or orange flavored mineral water. It's a great after dinner treat.
If you now add some spinach or romaine lettuce if you have a strong blender you will have a green smoothie that will give you total nutritin and healing powers; and you do not taste the greens. This concoction helped heal me of Hyperthyroidism it is that healing.
Another variation just as tasty and easy to make I use the following: 1/2 cup unsweetened mango or apple juice 2 bananas chopped /sliced up 1 cup skim milk 1 to 11/4 cup frozen mixed berries 1 cup low fat plain or frozen yogurt Pros: Healthy low in fat and contributes to daily requirements of calcium potasssium and vitam
I like it as is but leave out the ice cubes. I use frozen berry mix from costco.
Pretty good smoothie. I used half lemonade half orange juice and added some flaxseed for extra protein.
When I make smoothies I use organic apple juice or soy milk and for a littlw sweetner I add nonfat raspberry sherbert since I don't use white sugar!
I LOVED IT! My husband and I both had this for breakfast one morning before spending the afternoon working in the yard. We both noticed a difference in our energy and endurance. This was delicious and will now be a staple in our home:)
This was a great smoothie! I didn't add the tofu and it was still great! Every smoothie lover should try this recipe.
