For a sure-hit hors d'oeuvre, serve this sauce with crudités and/or skewered grilled chicken, pork or beef. Or use it as a spread for “grown-up” peanut butter sandwiches.

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons natural peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons reduced-fat mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 1-2 tablespoons water, (optional)

  1. Combine garlic, peanut butter, soy sauce, mayonnaise, brown sugar, lemon juice and crushed red pepper in a bowl; whisk until smooth. If sauce seems too thick, add water.
  • Make Ahead Tip: Cover and refrigerate for up to 2 days.
  • People with celiac disease or gluten-sensitivity should use soy sauces that are labeled "gluten-free," as soy sauce may contain wheat or other gluten-containing sweeteners and flavors.

This is great, but use ONLY ONE spoon of soy sauce...otherwise it's wayyyy too salty. Use full-fat mayo as well :) Pros: Delicious with Less Soy Sauce! Cons: WAY TOO SALTY

Delicious! The sauce is delicious with a nice kick of spice from the pepper and garlic. I combined the ingredients in my makeshift double boiler to make it a bit warm (also helps the peanut butter soften and blend). I substituted the brown sugar with about two packets of Truvia. You definitely need the sweet to bring the flavors together. Always adjust to taste. Mmmmmm good!
