  • 1 cup sugar

  1. Split vanilla bean lengthwise, using the tip of a sharp knife. Cut into 2-inch pieces and grind in a blender with the sugar. Pass sugar through a fine sieve.
  • Make Ahead Tip: The sugar will keep indefinitely in a tightly covered container at room temperature.
