Directions

  • Combine cider (or juice), oranges, lemon, ginger, cinnamon sticks and cloves in a large saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until cider has reduced to 4 cups, about 25 minutes. Remove the fruit and spices with a slotted spoon.

The recipe for Swedish glogg ( real "warmer upper" on cold winter days) has always included cinnamon sticks AND whole cloves inserted into the sliced oranges creating a great flavour to Christmas drink but also filling the house with a wonderful Christmas aroma. Enjoy. Read More
