Strawberry-Orange Compote with Cardamom Syrup

“Try pouring this cardamom-infused simple syrup poured over whatever fresh fruit you have on hand.”

Ingredients

    • 1 pint strawberries, sliced
    • 4 oranges, peeled and sliced
    • ⅓ cup granulated sugar
    • ⅓ cup water
    • 2 cardamom pods, crushed

Directions

  • 1 Place fruit in a serving bowl. Heat sugar, water and cardamom pods until the sugar has dissolved. Pour over the fruit.
