“Try these roasted apples on top of vanilla frozen yogurt and sprinkled with chopped walnuts for a quick dessert.”
2-3 cooking apples, such as Golden Delicious or Rome Beauty (about 1 pound)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons sugar
1Preheat oven to 425°F. Peel, core and cut apples into ½-inch-thick slices. Toss the slices with lemon juice in a large bowl; add sugar and toss once again. Transfer to a baking pan large enough to hold slices in a single layer. Roast, stirring occasionally to prevent scorching, until apples are tender and golden brown, 25 to 30 minutes.
