Cinnamon Oranges

This simple dessert works any time of the year, but its flavors will be the best and brightest in the winter when oranges are at their peak.

  • 4 navel oranges
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  1. With a sharp knife, remove rind and white pith from oranges. Cut each into 5 or 6 slices and arrange on 4 plates. Whisk together orange juice and lemon juice, sugar and cinnamon. Spoon over the orange slices.

Super simple way to really liven up sliced oranges! Cinnamon and the additional citrus juices worked really well here. I also found that garnishing with fresh raspberries paired perfectly with this. This is delicious!

kids love it Great recipe! Me and my kids did this for snack and my kids asked for us to make some more! We used to have Berry Buttermilk Soup which we found on GourmetRecipe.com but it's nice to try new things. 100 calorie recipies? It doesnt take a nutritional magician to make a slice of orange or a third of a banana less then 100 calories. I can make butter infused with duck fat for less then 100 calories but the serving size will be about as satisfying as these recipies. Yes, portion control is important but a slice of orange topped with sugar will do absolutely nothing to stave off hunger...in fact the spike in your glycemic index will more then likely TRIGGER hunger, rather then help it. Seriously... this is the type of garbage advice that keeps america fat. And who am I to say? I am a food addict who has lost over 100lbs and kept it off for 8 years. No fad diets. Thats who!

Yummy! This was delicious and very zippy. I served in a small dish with creamy vanilla yogurt and my husband loved it! Next time, he requested that I crumble up one Nilla Wafer in his. I was surprised how the letting it marinate in the lemon and oj made the orange slices even juicier. Yum! Pros: Easy and tasty

Paired it with blueberry french toast and used the sauce on both .... My little one loved it.... If he loves it then it is great. Thanks for the recipe.
