This quick and healthy asparagus stir-fry is flavored with sesame oil and soy sauce.

  • 1½ teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 pound thin asparagus, trimmed and cut diagonally into 1-inch pieces
  • 1½ teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  1. Heat oil in a large, nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add asparagus and stir-fry until it begins to soften, 1½ to 2 minutes.
  2. Add soy sauce and stir-fry for 1 minute. Add sugar and stir-fry another 30 seconds. Remove from heat and serve.
  • People with celiac disease or gluten-sensitivity should use soy sauces that are labeled "gluten-free," as soy sauce may contain wheat or other gluten-containing sweeteners and flavors.
