Spiced Coffee with Cognac

Ingredients
- 4 cups freshly brewed coffee
- 4 teaspoons dark brown sugar
- 3 whole cloves
- 1 cinnamon stick, broken in half
- 2 3-inch strips orange zest
- 2 3-inch strips lemon zest
- 4 ounces Cognac, or to taste
Preparation
- Add brown sugar, cloves, cinnamon stick, orange zest and lemon zest to coffee. Let steep over coffee warmer or in a thermos for 10 minutes. Pour through a strainer into cups. Add Cognac to taste.
