I used to be a pescetarian but recently moved to the desert region where fish is hard to come by and since have added turkey to my diet. I still don't eat chicken or other poultry.

I am a vegetarian. I feed my children products made of eggs and dairy although we mostly stick to soy milk and margarine. I have been vegetarian from birth and choose to remain so for ethical reasons although the increasing health benefits make it a very fortunate choice as well!

No red meat or pork for 12 years. Nothing on four legs, either (deer, alligator, rabbit, turtle, lamb, etc.). I eat only poultry and seafood, with at least half of my meals being completely vegetarian.

I do not eat red meat & no pork, no dairy (as i cannot digest it well) but was always a cheese lover so occasionally indulge in sheep/goat feta (if I know where it's from)...I will eat fish/seafood but never very often, more of a "if my husband catches it, I will eat it' thing...

I don't eat anything with a face, I do eat eggs and dairy (ovo-lacto) but our eggs come from our own very spoiled chickens and I don't drink milk.
There are many reasons to be a vegetarian, mine is ethical.

Vegetarian all the time. I try to avoid eggs in their "natural" state but I love me some cupcakes! And i just can't put down the cheese! I'm trying tho and i figure whatever i can eliminate is helpful!

I eat vegetarian (no meat, poultry, or fish), and I eat "vegan at home." I cannot digest dairy, but I will eat eggs and small amounts of dairy on special occasions or when eating out.

I've always been a very picky eater but I recently watched Food Matters, Forks over Knives, and Food Inc. I'm afraid my diet will never be the same. I can't cut up chicken for my niece or walk through a regular grocery store without my stomach turning. I am pretty adamant about not eating chicken, beef, dairy, eggs, or even tomatoes if I am unsure about its original source - the corporate way of farming is so alien and distasteful. The idea that we are consuming chemicals and/or the abused animals is too much for me anymore. I was able to buy milk and cheese for the first time today but it was also my first trip to the Organic Market - I was able to see a picture of the graze-fed cow that supplied them (her name is Daisy:). Meat will probably take a while for me to eat again (if ever) but my family does hunt and knowing that the animal ate what nature intended and wasn't injected and stuffed in a barn may be better on my conscience, who knows. As far as the near future goes I am eating only salads, with in-season vegetables right now. I am on this site to find some new recipes and ideas since this is not feasible in the long run.

Like the above commenter, it depends where I am. My partner and I are both vegetarian. I lean more towards vegan, but it is very hard if we decide to go out to eat. I will dairy products or eggs if we're dinning out. Also if my only vegetarian option is pasta (which often is the case), I will often choose a small portion of fish with veggies.
