When you’re at a party, how many alcoholic drinks (beer, wine, cocktails, etc.) do you typically consume? (Comments & Reviews)

ZERO - I am a staunch Do Not Drink And Drive Advocate and I actually practice that. I am often urged to have "just one glass". I volunteer to be the designated driver. If I attend a function where I cannot not avoid drinking any alcohol (such as a wine tasting event) I will take public transport and have a family member pick me up from the station.

I can always drink at home if I feel the need to calm my nerves or help my HDL cholesterol!

Why isn't zero an option? Many, many non-drinkers out there who still like to attend social gatherings including cocktail parties!

ZERO! Just because I have choosen not to drink alcohol, for over 30 years now, does not make me anti social or an avoider of parties. If the event is a pure drinking event yes I avoid them. However manyt social events/parties the drinking is an accouterment to the festivities.

It is my observation that only people that drink alcohol believe that soical events must contain alcohol.

That's only when at an adult party, and only go to one maybe once a year !

Because I drink infrequently, my tolerance is low. One glass of wine or bottle of beer is all I can comfortably have, so I try to drink water after that. If I'm thirsty, I'll drink water before alcohol, so that I'm not trying to quench my thirst with the latter.

We live in the desert and a really hot summer day I may have 2 beers but mostly I am a coffee kind of person.

I cannot drink any alcohol, my medications will not allow it! Since I pay enough for the medication, I don't want to pay for a DUI too!! I'm very happy drinking cranberry juice! Happy Holidays to all! ;}>
